Clients include small and large Silicon Valley technology companies where expertise in various technical and management areas is required. Assignments for clients have included Internet connections; Internet World Wide Web servers, Web presentations (HTML and graphics), and Web custom applications (CGI); remote management of Internet Service Provider systems; writing networking software; requirements analysis for computer communication (local and wide area); management of computer based business optimizations (EDI, communications); analysis and reconfiguration of multi-server networks; SUN/Unix system and network configuration; Email; Unix & GNU Tools; development of a service request tracking system; EDI (ANSI X12) purchase order software; systems integration services (including user requirements analysis, specification, design, implementation and testing); software design, implementation, and testing; database systems; project management; and user training.

Silvar-Lisco, Menlo Park June 1986 - July 1989 [Group Manager]

Responsible for the management of all Engineering projects regarding standard products as well as all IBM projects. This includes schedules, architecture, specifications, software development and documentation for CAE products on six different platforms. The projects span all groups within the Engineering, QA, and Distribution departments. The OEM Projects required special attention to the details of inter-company projects. Previously managed the Design Integration Group which created and supported the interface software between Silvar-Lisco's products and those of other systems. Responsible for the scheduling, design, implementation, documentation, and support efforts for a team of software engineers.

Sytek, Mountain View August 1981 - June 1986 [Project Leader]

Responsible for software designed and implemented for outside customers. Position included management of the software team, coordination with other departments, project management, estimation and management of contract costs and profits, negotiation of contracts and specifications, as well as technical contributions in computer network and system software design. Manager of the software team which developed and maintained the Sytek/IBM PC Network, Project Leader for various X.25 projects, and author of the Session Management Protocol (SMP/NETBIOS) implementation.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory August 1977 - August 1981 [Design Engineer]

Responsible for design of computer software and hardware. Position included working individually or in teams of engineers and programmers to design and implement computer systems. Projects included the operator interaction and data management portions of a large data acquisition and analysis system, an ARPANET electronic mail facility, monitor and control systems for a large X-Ray accelerator, firmware for a microprocessor based video graphics device, and hardware design for a fail-safe automated fault detection and announcement device.
